The last blast of VH Mark I strides the earth like a hard rock colossus, picking up the dirtbag-synth gauntlet ZZ Top threw down the year before and letting Eddie and Dave’s wildest impulses off the leash. It might’ve split them apart, but it also gave us Lamborghinicore (“Panama”) and peak metal-as-vaudeville (“Hot For Teacher”) and the best stoopid-brilliant keyboard riff since “Louie Louie” (“Jump”). Scuzz is nothing without fun, and here we got it.
