Bassist Butterss has jumped into the blurry jazz game along with all the people named Sam in LA and the Khruangbin massive. Her version has maybe the most variety of anyone, including her collaborator Jeff Parker (who does not appear here). The main musician here is Butterss, who plays almost everything and has a deep sense of openness. Not sure this is jazz or not jazz or anything, and the only thing it doesn’t have is any lead vocals.
