Don’t ask former Black Sabbath front man (and future reality star) Ozzy Osbourne for life advice, he doesn’t know. In fact, pretty much everyone had given him up for dead when his manager (and future wife) Sharon Arden yanked him out of a self-imposed hell, connected him with wunderkind guitarist Randy Rhoads, and began the long process of making him the de facto face of heavy metal. Rhoads’s neoclassical shredding remains the highlight of all-time classics like “Crazy Train” and “Mr. Crowley,” but you can’t discount Osbourne’s wild charisma – something evident in his previous gig that bloomed fully here.
