Elastic Rock

British jazz rock sextet who burn the hell out of the mission on their debut. Trumpeter Ian Carr went on to be known as a writer, also, though I think the player here who should have been as famous as guitarist Chris Spedding was drummer John Marshall. This is a burning set of free-flowing form and uniform, comfortable with being rock and jazz and free and nerdy and fiery all at once. A great, great album.
