Electric Sun

The first full VNV album in five years, 2023’s Electric Sun was something of a turn away from the black feeling of Noire, with Ronan Harris’s lyrics and singing at times again showcasing a warmth and sense of possible uplift. His focus on catchily intense electronic constructions remained paramount as seen on opening single “Behind the Sun,” while the general musical range from the moody build of the opening title track to the glam stomp of “The Game” to the bright bounce of “Prophet” to the sweeping ballad “Run” remains a subtle VNV trademark.
