Lifeless Birth

Released

Hard for a death metal band to come up with something shocking for their album art these days (especially when Cannibal Corpse set the bar so high/low over thirty years ago) but Necrot succeed with the demonic birth-to-consumption cycle on the front of Lifeless Birth. This celebrates everything great and grisly about the genre: grotesque lyrics, riffs that definitely didn’t skip arm day, and satisfyingly blunt compositions with titles like “Cut the Cord” and “Drill the Skull.” While contemporaries like Gatecreeper and Tomb Mold attempt evolution, Necrot remain resolute. Butchered at birth were they, and butchered they shall stay.
