Terminal

Released

Terminal is a true work of art. On his full-length debut Egyptian producer Ahmed El Ghazoly, aka ZULI, creates a rich tapestry by artfully combining the sounds of Cairo’s underground scene, from techno to grime, rap, garage, and noise, and calling on linchipins such as hip-hop artist  Abyusif to contribute to his productions. The feverish atmospheres recall the intensity of Cairo’s streets, but the album is interspersed with more introspective moments, like the whispered soundscapes of “In Your Head,” which give Terminal a very personal feel: this is Cairo, but through ZULI’s eyes.
