Fondle ‘Em Records is one of the defining record labels of the late-90’s NYC underground hip-hop scene. Run single-handedly by radio host Bobbito Garcia and guided by his personal taste alone, this label brought raw talent into the crates of influential DJs around the world. Kool Keith, fresh off of changing the sound of hip-hop several times with the Ultramagnetic MCs and ready to try something even weirder, teamed up with Godfather Don, a fire breathing rapper/producer who was similarly ahead of his time to form The Cenobites for this one and only release. Fondle ‘Em catalog number FE-101 is a defining underground hip-hop release — hard to find, loose around the edges, unencumbered by sales expectations, but endlessly rewarding for fans of leftfield wordplay and rugged beats.
