The New Age/ambient nexus dissolves more fully in the hands of new jacks who are able to tease out the good commonalities between hot stone massage waiting room jams and Sun Electric-style bliss beats. Nice vaporwave arpeggi and filtered voice lullabies give way to two epics, krautrock and bagpipes and accordions and four-on-the-floor kicks slotting together like Very Sophisticated Lego. Also: this is very much paced and sequenced as an album. This album smells great.
