Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get

Released

1971’s Volt album Watcha See Is Whatcha Get from soul stalwarts The Dramatics is a rich snapshot of turn-of-the-decade US soul and R’n’B music. A vocal group in the mode of the Temptations, the Dramatics really shone on the laid-back funk-soul of the title track but across the eight tracks of the album they demonstrate their versatility, taking on impassioned ballads, uptempo horn-and-string soul and R’n’B dance floor-shufflers, showcasing the multiple talented singers in the group.
