This French collective is literally a howler, beginning their album with a long series of intertwining drones that could be a less precise La Monte Young. But then they have a whole band, that somehow takes that tensile thing and brings into a softer, more forgiving context that lands somewhere between trance and folk. Hypnotic results from genuine focus—this is a titanic album.
